Product overview
Filled or processed ampoules can carry dust, product residue or handling contamination on their outer surfaces even when the contents remain sealed. Where the requirement is specifically external cleaning, introducing a complex internal washing system is unnecessary.
The Automatic External Ampoule Washing Machine is designed exclusively for this external-surface cleaning requirement.
Technogen Enterprise is a Manufacturer and Supplier of Automatic External Ampoule Washing Machine equipment for Tanzania, developed for pharmaceutical manufacturing operations handling 1 ml to 5 ml ampoules.
The machine works on a continuous rotary-motion principle and incorporates a four-stage external cleaning sequence.
Ampoules are loaded from trays and correctly spaced through a feed worm before entering the rotating washing wheel.
The first two stages perform liquid cleaning. The first station uses Tap Water and can be adapted for detergent washing when heavier external contamination is present. The second stage provides a further Tap Water wash.
At the discharge feed-worm, two additional stages remove residual moisture:
- Dry Air Blowing
- Hot Air Blowing
This final air-treatment sequence is intended to leave the outer surface free from visible water droplets before the ampoule moves to the next production operation.
With output up to 250 ampoules per minute, the machine provides a dedicated high-speed solution where only external ampoule washing is required.
Working principle
Ampoules are manually introduced through the tray-loading arrangement.
The feed worm separates incoming ampoules and maintains the required spacing.
Each ampoule is transferred to the rotating washing wheel.
The first external washing station applies Tap Water. Where ampoules carry heavier external contamination, a detergent wash can be incorporated.
The second liquid station provides another Tap Water wash.
As ampoules leave the main washing wheel, the final feed worm carries them through the air-treatment section.
The third stage blows dry air over the external surface.
The fourth stage applies hot air, helping remove residual surface moisture.
The cleaned ampoules are then discharged for further pharmaceutical processing.

Automatic External Ampoule Washing Machine for Tanzania production
For manufacturers in Tanzania, Automatic External Ampoule Washing Machine should be evaluated against the actual product, pack format, production schedule and operating environment. Continuous rotary ampoule washer dedicated to external surface cleaning, combining two liquid washing stages followed by dry-air and heated-air treatment for pharmaceutical ampoules. The selected arrangement must suit both routine output and the changeovers expected during normal production.
Operating and product considerations
Container preparation is defined by the bottle, vial or ampoule material, dimensions, contamination risk and required washing sequence. The handling parts, rinse stages, air treatment and drainage arrangement must be compatible with the container and the cleanliness objective of the production process.
Planning the complete production line
The washer is normally assessed with the downstream filling operation, available treated-water supply, compressed air, drainage and room layout. Tanzania projects should confirm utilities and container transfer early because these inputs influence both equipment configuration and the surrounding facility plan.
Information required for machine selection
- Container drawing and material
- Required internal and external wash sequence
- Water, air and drainage utilities with downstream interface
Enquiries are supported for projects in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Mwanza, Arusha, Morogoro and other Tanzanian industrial locations. The final model, construction, output, documentation and support scope are confirmed in the commercial and technical offer.
