Product overview
High-speed ampoule washing requires the container to remain positively controlled while different washing media reach its internal surface. The Automatic Rotary Ampoule Washing Machine achieves this by gripping each ampoule at the neck, inverting it through the washing cycle and returning it upright before discharge.
Technogen Enterprise is a Manufacturer and Supplier of Automatic Rotary Ampoule Washing Machine equipment for Tanzania, designed for pharmaceutical and injectable formulation plants requiring continuous-motion ampoule washing.
The internal process combines three water washes and three air washes. Recirculated Water, Purified Water and WFI provide the liquid cleaning sequence, followed by sterile compressed air.
External surfaces receive an additional water wash and air wash.
The machine uses a high-speed rotary gripper architecture. Different configurations provide production capacities of 120 and 240 ampoules per minute, depending on container size.
Critical parts exposed to the container interior or washing media are manufactured from AISI 316L. Process piping uses SS 316 construction with orbital welding and electropolishing.
Pressure transmitters for water and air and a temperature transmitter for the recycled-water circuit are integrated with machine interlocks.
The washing and out-feed sections are enclosed by a Polycarbonate cover, while PLC-HMI control provides centralized operating access.
Working principle
mpoules enter the machine from the in-feed section and are transferred towards the rotary washing turret.
Each ampoule is held from its neck by a dedicated gripper.
The gripper inverts the ampoule so that the internal surface can be effectively exposed to the washing nozzles.
Servo-driven or mechanically cam-driven dive-in nozzles perform the internal cleaning cycle.
Three water stages are used:
- Recirculated Water
- Purified Water
- WFI
These are followed by three sterile-air washes.
External cleaning is completed using one water wash and one air wash.
Pressure and temperature monitoring systems supervise critical washing utilities throughout production.
After completion of the washing sequence, the gripper rotates the ampoule back into the vertical position and releases it onto the out-feed star wheel.

Automatic Rotary Ampoule Washing Machine for Tanzania production
For manufacturers in Tanzania, Automatic Rotary Ampoule Washing Machine should be evaluated against the actual product, pack format, production schedule and operating environment. Continuous rotary ampoule washing system using neck-gripper inversion, pharmaceutical-grade water circuits and sterile-air cleaning for controlled internal and external ampoule preparation. The selected arrangement must suit both routine output and the changeovers expected during normal production.
Operating and product considerations
Container preparation is defined by the bottle, vial or ampoule material, dimensions, contamination risk and required washing sequence. The handling parts, rinse stages, air treatment and drainage arrangement must be compatible with the container and the cleanliness objective of the production process.
Planning the complete production line
The washer is normally assessed with the downstream filling operation, available treated-water supply, compressed air, drainage and room layout. Tanzania projects should confirm utilities and container transfer early because these inputs influence both equipment configuration and the surrounding facility plan.
Information required for machine selection
- Container drawing and material
- Required internal and external wash sequence
- Water, air and drainage utilities with downstream interface
Enquiries are supported for projects in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Mwanza, Arusha, Morogoro and other Tanzanian industrial locations. The final model, construction, output, documentation and support scope are confirmed in the commercial and technical offer.
