Product overview
The defining feature of this vial washer is not simply the number of washes—it is how the vial is handled during washing.
The Automatic Rotary Vial Washing Machine grips each vial from its neck, turns it into the required washing position and keeps it positively controlled while the internal and external surfaces are cleaned. Once the washing sequence is complete, the vial is returned to the upright position and transferred to the out-feed star wheel.
Technogen Enterprise is a Manufacturer and Supplier of Automatic Rotary Vial Washing Machine equipment for Tanzania, developed for pharmaceutical and injectable formulation lines requiring continuous rotary washing.
The internal sequence combines three water washes and three air washes. The water stages use Recirculated Water, Purified Water and WFI, followed by sterile compressed-air cleaning. External vial surfaces receive an additional water wash and air wash.
The rotary system is available with production capacities of 120 and 240 vials per minute, depending on vial size. Machine configurations use multiple washing stations with three grippers at each station to support continuous high-speed operation.
Critical product and wash-media contact parts are manufactured from AISI 316L, while SS 316 piping is orbital welded and electropolished.
Pressure and temperature transmitters provide process monitoring with interlocks, and the washing section is enclosed with a Polycarbonate cover.
A PLC with touchscreen HMI provides the operator with centralized machine control.
Working principle
Vials are loaded onto the machine through the in-feed turntable.
The vial moves through the feeding system and enters the rotary washing section.
A gripper holds the vial securely by the neck and inverts it into the required washing position.
Servo-driven or mechanically cam-driven dive-in nozzles enter or align with the vial for controlled internal washing.
The internal cleaning sequence consists of:
- Recirculated Water Wash
- Purified Water Wash
- WFI Wash
- followed by three sterile-air washes.
External vial cleaning is performed using:
- One external water wash
- One external air wash
Filtration is provided for Purified Water, WFI, Recirculated Water and compressed air.
Pressure transmitters monitor water and air conditions, while a temperature transmitter monitors recycled-water temperature.
After all washing stages are completed, the gripper returns the vial to the upright position and releases it onto the out-feed star wheel.

Automatic Rotary Vial Washing Machine for Tanzania production
For manufacturers in Tanzania, Automatic Rotary Vial Washing Machine should be evaluated against the actual product, pack format, production schedule and operating environment. Continuous rotary pharmaceutical vial washer using neck-gripper inversion, multiple purified-water and WFI washing stages, sterile air cleaning and controlled internal and external vial washing. The selected arrangement must suit both routine output and the changeovers expected during normal production.
Operating and product considerations
Container preparation is defined by the bottle, vial or ampoule material, dimensions, contamination risk and required washing sequence. The handling parts, rinse stages, air treatment and drainage arrangement must be compatible with the container and the cleanliness objective of the production process.
Planning the complete production line
The washer is normally assessed with the downstream filling operation, available treated-water supply, compressed air, drainage and room layout. Tanzania projects should confirm utilities and container transfer early because these inputs influence both equipment configuration and the surrounding facility plan.
Information required for machine selection
- Container drawing and material
- Required internal and external wash sequence
- Water, air and drainage utilities with downstream interface
Enquiries are supported for projects in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Mwanza, Arusha, Morogoro and other Tanzanian industrial locations. The final model, construction, output, documentation and support scope are confirmed in the commercial and technical offer.
