Product overview
The Automatic Single Head Lug Capping Machine is designed for packaging lines that require reliable application of lug caps with controlled torque and consistent bottle handling. It is particularly suited to food-processing environments where secure closure application is important for products packed in bottles and jars.
Technogen Enterprise is a Manufacturer and Supplier of Automatic Single Head Lug Capping Machine solutions for Tanzania, serving food, dairy, milk, vinegar and pickle packaging applications.
The machine operates with a single lug capping head and delivers an output of 30 to 40 bottles per minute, depending upon bottle diameter and lug-cap size. Bottles move from left to right through the machine while the conveyor, star-wheel system and capping turret are synchronized through a single motor.
A key element of the machine is its specially designed pneumatic-mechanical magnetic hysteresis clutch-based lug capping head. This arrangement provides torque adjustment during the capping cycle, supporting uniform closure application across production.
Lug caps are supplied automatically through either a Cap Feeder Elevator or Cap Feeder Vibrator, allowing the feeding arrangement to be selected according to the closure and production setup.
The machine handles bottles from 22 mm to 100 mm diameter, bottle heights from 15 mm to 100 mm, and lug caps from 22 mm to 84 mm diameter.
A No Bottle–No Cap system prevents unnecessary cap application, while a star-wheel safety clutch, emergency machine-stop function and automatic orientator control contribute to controlled operation.
For manufacturers in Tanzania processing dairy products, milk, vinegar, pickles and related food products, the machine provides a compact automatic solution where reliable lug-cap tightening and fast format changeover are required.
Working principle
Bottles enter the machine from the left-hand side and move towards the capping station through the conveyor.
The single motor synchronizes the conveyor, star-wheel system and capping turret, keeping bottle movement coordinated throughout the capping cycle.
Lug caps are stored and supplied through the selected cap-feeding system. The machine can use either a Cap Feeder Elevator or Cap Feeder Vibrator.
The cap is transferred to the bottle through a chute pick-up arrangement.
Once the bottle reaches the capping station, the pneumatic-mechanical magnetic hysteresis clutch-based capping head engages the lug cap and performs the tightening operation.
Torque can be adjusted through the capping-head system to suit the closure requirement and help maintain consistent application.
The No Bottle–No Cap system prevents the capping sequence when a bottle is not available in the required position.
After the cap is applied, the bottle continues through the star-wheel and conveyor system towards the machine discharge.
The design also supports fast format changeover when switching between compatible bottle sizes.

Automatic Single Head Lug Capping Machine for Tanzania production
For manufacturers in Tanzania, Automatic Single Head Lug Capping Machine should be evaluated against the actual product, pack format, production schedule and operating environment. Automatic lug capping machine for controlled closure application on compatible bottles and jars, combining single-head capping, uniform torque control and automatic cap feeding for food and dairy packaging lines in Tanzania. The selected arrangement must suit both routine output and the changeovers expected during normal production.
Operating and product considerations
Closure quality depends on the relationship between the bottle neck, cap geometry, feeding method and tightening or crimping action. Samples are used to confirm container support, cap presentation and the correct head or tooling so that closures are applied consistently without avoidable bottle damage or line stoppages.
Planning the complete production line
A complete Tanzanian packaging line may connect this capper with bottle feeding, liquid or powder filling, induction or foil sealing, labelling, coding and accumulation. The upstream delivery rate, conveyor height, container stability and downstream inspection requirement should be reviewed together before the final layout is approved.
Information required for machine selection
- Bottle and closure samples with dimensional drawings
- Closure application method, torque or crimping requirement
- Cap feeding, container stability and upstream line speed
Enquiries are supported for projects in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Mwanza, Arusha, Morogoro and other Tanzanian industrial locations. The final model, construction, output, documentation and support scope are confirmed in the commercial and technical offer.
