Product overview
Steam shrinking allows heat to be directed around different areas of a container through adjustable steam zones. This is particularly useful where the sleeve must conform around varying bottle shapes while maintaining controlled shrink characteristics.
The Automatic Steam Heat Shrink Tunnel Machine uses independently adjustable steam zones and steam manifolds to direct heated steam towards the required areas of the sleeve.
Technogen Enterprise is a Manufacturer and Supplier of Automatic Steam Heat Shrink Tunnel Machine equipment for Tanzania, designed for compatible PVC, PETG, OPS and PLA labels and neck bands.
The tunnel is manufactured from SS 304 and is available in modular configurations from 3 to 6 steam zones.
Steam-flow pipes can be adjusted according to container shape and dimensions. Four-axis adjustment allows the steam-delivery arrangement to be positioned for different compatible bottle formats.
A variable-speed modular Delrin slat-chain conveyor transports containers through the tunnel.
Excess steam is managed through an air blower and adjustable steam-exhaust window, while an integrated drip tray collects excess moisture.
Production capacity is specified at up to approximately 60 bottles per minute, depending upon container size.
The specified steam demand is up to 27 kg/hour at approximately 80–95°C.
For Tanzania packaging lines handling a range of bottle profiles, the independently adjustable steam zones provide flexibility for controlling sleeve shrink around different container shapes.
Working principle
Sleeved bottles enter the machine through the variable-speed Delrin conveyor.
The conveyor transports each container into the steam tunnel.
Steam is directed through adjustable manifolds positioned around the container path.
Multiple steam zones allow different sections of the tunnel to be adjusted according to the bottle and sleeve requirement.
The heated steam contacts the sleeve and causes the material to contract around the container.
Four-axis adjustment enables the steam-delivery pipes to be positioned according to compatible bottle shapes and sizes.
Excess steam is removed through the blower and adjustable exhaust arrangement.
Condensed moisture is collected in the integrated drip tray.
The finished sleeved bottles exit the tunnel through the conveyor.

Automatic Steam Heat Shrink Tunnel Machine for Tanzania production
For manufacturers in Tanzania, Automatic Steam Heat Shrink Tunnel Machine should be evaluated against the actual product, pack format, production schedule and operating environment. Automatic multi-zone steam shrink tunnel for shrinking PVC, PETG, OPS and PLA sleeve labels and neck bands, with adjustable steam manifolds and production up to 60 bottles per minute. The selected arrangement must suit both routine output and the changeovers expected during normal production.
Operating and product considerations
Seal performance is governed by the packaging material, container or product dimensions, temperature response, dwell time and line speed. Compatibility samples are important because the correct heating, pressure, film or foil arrangement varies with the pack being produced.
Planning the complete production line
The equipment should be considered with the preceding filling or capping stage and the following inspection, coding or secondary-packaging operation. Tanzania projects also need to confirm utilities, ambient conditions and operator access around the sealing zone before the final system is selected.
Information required for machine selection
- Actual product and packaging samples or drawings
- Required output and operating schedule
- Available electrical, compressed-air, water or steam utilities
Enquiries are supported for projects in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Mwanza, Arusha, Morogoro and other Tanzanian industrial locations. The final model, construction, output, documentation and support scope are confirmed in the commercial and technical offer.
