Granules can be damaged by unnecessarily aggressive mixing. For formulations where gentle but continuous material movement is required, vessel geometry and rotational speed are more important than high-speed agitation.
The Octagonal Blender uses an eight-sided vessel profile to produce continuous movement of dry granules at comparatively low rotational speed. The machine is intended primarily for mixing and lubrication of dry granular products.

Working principle
