Gentle homogeneous blending with reduced particle attrition

Product overview

Free-flowing dry materials can be blended effectively without rotating blades when the vessel geometry repeatedly divides and recombines the product mass.

The V Blender uses two hollow cylindrical shells joined at an angle of approximately 72° to 90°. The vessel is mounted on trunnions and rotates to create repeated converging, diverging and tumbling movement of the product.

Technogen Enterprise provides the V Blender as a Manufacturer and Supplier for Tanzania, particularly for dry-blending applications involving compatible free-flowing solids, powders and granules.

During rotation, material repeatedly separates into the two arms of the V-shaped vessel and subsequently recombines as it moves towards the common section. This recurring division and recombination promotes homogeneous blending.

Typical blending cycles are described at approximately 18–20 minutes, depending upon the characteristics of the material.

Product-contact parts are manufactured from AISI 316L Stainless Steel, with Stainless Steel 304 also available according to customer requirements.

An intensifier-bar arrangement can support de-agglomeration, while the absence of conventional moving blades inside the primary vessel helps reduce unnecessary particle attrition in compatible fragile products.

The internal vessel surface is mirror polished and the exterior is matt polished.

Butterfly valves provide material discharge, while integrated safety railings protect the operating area. A manual handwheel rotating feature also allows controlled positioning of the blender.

For Tanzania process manufacturers handling multiple dry-blending batch sizes, the range provides gross capacities from 50 litres to 1850 litres.

Working principle

  • Dry product is charged into the V-shaped blending vessel.
  • The two connected cylindrical shells rotate around the blender axis.
  • During rotation, the material travels through the two arms of the V.
  • The product mass repeatedly separates as it enters the two sections.
  • As rotation continues, these material streams converge and recombine.
  • Repeated splitting, merging, tumbling and surface contact progressively produce a more homogeneous mixture.
  • Where required, intensifier bars can assist compatible de-agglomeration.
  • After completion of the blending cycle, the vessel is positioned for discharge.
  • The mixed material is removed through the butterfly discharge valve.

Applications & industries

The V Blender is designed primarily for dry blending of compatible free-flowing solids.

Suitable process applications include:

  • Dry powder blending.
  • Granule mixing.
  • Free-flowing solid blending.
  • Homogeneous dry mixing.
  • Fragile-material blending where excessive internal blade action is undesirable.
  • Compatible de-agglomeration using intensifier bars.

The V-shaped vessel is particularly useful when repeated splitting and recombination of dry ingredients is required.

Application items

  • Dry Powder Mixing : Blends compatible dry powder products.
  • Free-Flowing Solid Blending : Designed for compatible free-flowing materials.
  • Granule Blending : Provides continuous tumbling movement for granules.
  • Fragile Material Mixing : Reduces aggressive particle attrition compared with blade-based mixing.
  • Homogeneous Blending : Repeated convergence and divergence promotes uniform mixing.
  • De-Agglomeration : Intensifier bars can assist compatible agglomerated materials.

TANZANIA APPLICATION GUIDE

V Blender for Tanzania production

For manufacturers in Tanzania, V Blender should be evaluated against the actual product, pack format, production schedule and operating environment. Technogen Enterprises, located in,,, is your premier destination for top-quality V Blenders that meet the highest standards. Whether you require a V Cone Blender or a V Blender Machine, our superior products are designed to enhance the efficiency and ease of your blending projects. The selected arrangement must suit both routine output and the changeovers expected during normal production.

Operating and product considerations

Process performance depends on the material characteristics, bulk density, batch size, moisture behaviour and required product-contact finish. Charging, processing and discharge methods are selected to support repeatable batches, practical cleaning and safe operator access for the intended formulation.

Planning the complete production line

For a Tanzanian processing facility, the machine should be reviewed with upstream dispensing or charging and downstream transfer, filling or storage. Available floor space, electrical supply, air, heating, cooling, ventilation and dust-control expectations should be included in the technical discussion.

Information required for machine selection

  • Product characteristics, bulk density and batch size
  • Product-contact material, finish and cleaning expectation
  • Charging, discharge, utilities and integration with adjacent equipment

Enquiries are supported for projects in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Mwanza, Arusha, Morogoro and other Tanzanian industrial locations. The final model, construction, output, documentation and support scope are confirmed in the commercial and technical offer.
